"Polished, intelligent and colourful playing". Michael Dussek

The Golden Piano Trio is an exciting up-and-coming chamber group which was formed at the Dartington International Summer School during summer of 2009. Its current members, all prize winners and scholars from Trinity College of Music, are Valtie Nunn (violin), Dan James (cello) and Manuel Lopez Jorge (piano). Former cellists of the trio include Paloma García Oliver (2010-2011) and Alisa Liubarskaya (2009).

The trio rapidly gained recognition after winning the Cavatina Chamber Music Competition in May 2010. The Golden Piano Trio was recently invited to participate as special guests in the Bravo Cello Festival at the Royal Academy of Music where they received coaching from Guy Johnson. Founding members Valtie and Manuel have also formed an acclaimed duo, recent successes include first prize in the Leonard Smith Duo Competition.

The trio is regularly coached by the pianist and chamber musician Deniz Arman Gelenbe, of the Arman Trio and cellist David Kenedy. They were recently invited to join the ChamberStudio scheme at Londons Kings Place where they receive coaching and guidance from eminent chamber musicians. They have also received coaching and support from violinist Constantin Bogdanas and cellist Dorel Fodoreanu, members of the Arman Trio.

The Golden Piano Trio has been giving recitals in and around London including London Charterhouse, Farnham Maltings, Corsham and Lewes. Future engagements include recitals in St Martin in the Fields, London, Sussex, The London McLaren Hall, Hythe and Spain.
